Asia and MENA games market revenue predicted to grow 16.5% to over $103bn by 2030
Data from Niko Partners reveals that the Asia and MENA regions collectively generated $88.9 billion in gaming revenue in 2025. The revenue is anticipated to escalate to $103.6 billion by 2028. The report encompasses 13 key markets, including China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and MENA countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Niko Partners' comprehensive study involved surveying more than 11,000 players across these regions in March 2026.
In 2025, India surpassed 500 million players and is projected to surpass $1.8 billion in revenue by 2030, with player spending expected to grow at a CAGR of 11.2% over five years. Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia are forecasted to be the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia, with Thailand expected to hit $2 billion in player spending by 2027 and Indonesia poised to exceed $1.5 billion by 2030. China, Japan, and Korea are identified as the most mature markets in the region, accounting for a significant portion of total revenue. The MENA-3 countries are expected to reach $3 billion in player spending by 2030, with ARPU set to rise by $10 in the next five years.
