Both Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yōtei are dominating the nominations for the Develop:Star Awards 2026, with six nominations each, including categories like Best Visual Art, Best Game Design, and Best Narrative. The shortlists, featuring a new category for Best Ongoing Game, were selected by industry experts across 18 categories. The event will also recognize individuals like Ayo Norman-Williams, Deevya Patel, Dennis Welling, Elise Barry, Jing Wang, and Nicole Gregory for the Tomorrow's Star award.
The Develop:Star Awards ceremony, scheduled for July 15 during Develop:Brighton 2026, will reveal the winners chosen through a voting process that closes on June 3. The prestigious award has previously honored industry luminaries like Sam Lake from Remedy and Shuhei Yoshida from Sony Interactive Entertainment, highlighting the best talents in the gaming world.
