Mario Kart Tour will go offline on iOS and Android in September 2026.
Nintendo has announced that the free-to-play mobile game, Mario Kart Tour, will be shutting down on September 29, 2026, at 11 p.m. PST. The company expressed gratitude to the players for their support since the game's launch six years ago. Unlike Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, there will be no offline version of Mario Kart Tour after the shutdown. Nintendo ceased development on the game in 2023, with no new content added since then.
On July 7, Nintendo halted automatic renewals and new subscriptions for the Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass in anticipation of the closure. In-game currency has also been suspended, and any subscriptions extending beyond August 4, 2026, will no longer be valid. Starting from that date, Gold Pass benefits will be accessible to all players at no charge until the service termination.
