The price adjustments based on current RRP are as follows:
- Xbox Series S 512GB: $399.99 to $499.99
- Xbox Series S 1TB: $449.99 to $599.99
- Xbox Series X 1TB Digital: $599.99 to $749.99
- Xbox Series X 1TB: $649.99 to $799.99
In a blog post, Microsoft mentioned the impact of increased console storage and memory prices, with expectations of further doubling by fall 2027 due to the ongoing components crisis affecting the consumer electronics industry. The company emphasized efforts to enhance Xbox console accessibility, such as buy now, pay later options, interest-free financing, and discounted refurbished consoles.
This news comes after Valve's Steam Machine was announced to be priced higher than intended, at $1,049 for the 512GB model.
