Indika developer Odd Meter has secured $5 million in a funding round led by Gem Capital and Autotelic Ventures.
Odd Meter, the developer behind Indika, has raised $5 million in funding from Gem Capital and Autotelic Ventures. The investment will be used to finance the studio's upcoming project and facilitate its growth while preserving its creative independence. CEO Dmitry Svetlow expressed gratitude towards the investors for their support, highlighting the opportunity to expand the team and focus on developing the new game.
Established in 2017 in Russia, Odd Meter moved a significant portion of its team to Almaty, Kazakhstan, during the production of Indika due to the conflict in Ukraine. The game, released in 2024, received critical acclaim, winning Game of the Year and Best Narrative at the 2025 Games for Change Awards. It was also nominated for various prestigious accolades such as The Game Awards, BAFTA Game Awards, Golden Joystick Awards, and DICE Awards.
Gem Capital's managing director, Roman Gurskiy, praised Odd Meter for its ability to create narrative-driven games that resonate with audiences globally. The investors believe in the studio's potential to deliver another exceptional title while maintaining its unique creative approach. Autoelic Ventures CEO Vladislav Korotkov echoed this sentiment, expressing confidence in Odd Meter's capacity to produce innovative and impactful games with worldwide appeal.
