A temporary casino will open just 80 miles north of Houston, Texas, this summer.
The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe has federal approval to build the Indian gaming casino on off-reservation land in Leggett, Polk County. Construction on the venue will begin next month, with the site set to feature 300 electronic bingo machines, a restaurant, and a smoking patio. The temporary casino is a precursor to the tribe's larger casino resort plans, which will include a hotel, convention center, and entertainment venue.
