The success of The New York Times Games platform is rubbing off. Business Insider has launched BI Games with four puzzles, while Time has introduced Time Games.
In recent weeks, Business Insider and Time have followed The New York Times' lead by launching their own daily puzzle platforms. BI Games offers four puzzles, including Pipeline and Boxed, encouraging players to create an account to track progress. The platform is incorporating game-like mechanics into its website, such as Level Up and weekly streaks.
Time Games, on the other hand, is more subtle in promoting subscriptions. It includes Market Movers, a fantasy prediction market game, as well as puzzle games like Linked and Word Flower. Time COO Mark Howard views the games hub as a way to engage the audience and provide a personalized and playful experience.
