The European Commission has announced intentions to interact with consumers and game publishers before the year ends to discuss new industry norms regarding video game preservation. This initiative is a response to the Stop Destroying Videogames European Citizens’ Initiative, which urged the Commission to implement new regulations ensuring players' access to video games even after a publisher discontinues commercial support.
