Arjan Brussee, co-founder of Guerrilla Games, revealed his plans to create the Immense Engine, described as a European alternative to existing game engines. Brussee emphasized the need for a fully European-hosted engine that complies with local regulations and development principles.
The Immense Engine aims to revolutionize 3D world creation with full AI integration. Brussee highlighted the importance of adapting software development to leverage AI effectively, envisioning significant productivity gains through intelligent AI agent frameworks.
Prior to this project, Brussee held key roles at Epic Games, including global director of product management for Unreal Engine. His extensive experience in the gaming industry dates back to the 1990s, with notable contributions to titles like Jazz Jackrabbit and involvement in studios like Electronic Arts and Boss Key Productions.
