These fees will come into effect on January 1, 2027
Games platform Roblox has disclosed the fee structure for brand integrations, specifying the charges based on a cost-per-mille (CPM) model. The fees vary by region, with US visitors charged $1.50, while visitors from the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Nordic countries will pay $0.75. Visitors from Western Europe, Japan, and South Korea will incur a cost of $0.20, and the rest of the world will be charged $0.05. After 28 days, a flat rate of $0.10 per thousand customers will apply universally. These rates will be implemented from January 1, 2027.
Prior to launching brand integrations, Roblox creators can anticipate and secure revenue-share fees, enabling them to estimate costs and potentially pass them on to advertisers. Forecasts will be based on the 56 days preceding the brand integration agreement.
Roblox's senior product manager for ads and monetisation, Nick McLachlan, emphasized the platform's aim to enhance targeting capabilities and transparency for creators and brands. The company intends to provide more precise audience targeting options and assist creators in pricing strategies based on these parameters, while respecting privacy regulations.
