Xbox has launched the starter edition of Game Pass for Meta Horizon+ subscribers, granting access to over 50 games and more than 100 VR games. This offering is available to eligible members in supported regions. The partnership with Discord, announced in May, also extended this benefit to Nitro subscribers.
The starter edition of Game Pass includes a collection of over 50 games, 10 hours of cloud gaming, and rewards for gameplay. Meta Horizon+ provides a library featuring more than 100 VR games. In the near future, players will be able to use Meta Quest Touch controllers to simulate the Xbox gamepad. Additionally, those with an Xbox controller can connect it to the Meta Quest headset.
Earlier this year, Meta revealed plans to transition the focus of its Horizon Worlds metaverse platform to mobile devices. The company also expressed its commitment to supporting third-party VR software developers and maintaining long-term investments in VR, prioritizing partnerships and targeted investments over first-party development.
